The Waterloo Region District School Board’s new South Kitchener (Groh Dr.) Elementary School, to be located at 225 Thomas Slee Drive, Kitchener is scheduled to open for the 2017/18 school year (September 2017). It was originally planned to open in 2015/16; however, delays in site acquisition (plan of subdivision registration) and building permit issuance have forced the Board to delay the opening a second time to 2017/18.
