Dear Parents and Doon Community,

It is with mixed emotions that I inform you that I will be leaving Doon Public School at the end of this month.  My final day at Doon will be Friday January 29^th.  I will begin a new role as Principal of Vista Hills Public School, which will be opening this coming September 6, 2016.

It has been an absolute pleasure to serve the Doon community for the past five-and-a-half years.  I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to work with such a fantastic collection of students and parents.  I will have very fond memories of my time spent learning with and from a dedicated, caring and compassionate staff and team of educators.

I am very pleased to announce that the new Principal at Doon will be Mr. Helmut Tinnes.  Helmut is a highly skilled and experienced educator, and currently Principal at Mary Johnston Public School.

Thank you for your support and assistance this year and in previous years.  It has been an honour and pleasure to be a Doon Tiger!
